Today in room 3 Matua BJ told us some stories he talked about the story behind the sculptures Paitito He also talked to us about how we can respect others, goals, and expectations My favorite bit was the paitito story I’m very happy that he came to our school  today.

 Marae visit 

On Tuesday the 8th of  November room, 3,4,5, and kapa haka went on a Marae visit, down the road from the cemetery Roma Marae to learn about our local marae and stories. We learned about the history of the marae, Ahiparapara While we were there marewa was telling us about the history of ahipara and how ahipara wasn’t called ahiparapara it was called Powhutakawa on the whare Nui. The reason why we went was so we could learn about our local marae and stories.

On Wednesday the 19th of October we learned how to do CPR and we learned how to use the aeo we did it in

Room 4. Ron and Jessie were the people who teach us CPR they taught us how to do CPR on a baby and on an adult.

my favourite prat was when we did CPR on the baby dolls and on the adult dolls. CPR is really important because you can use it if someone needs help.

Pet day. On pet day our class decorated cupcakes we were giving some toppings to put on our cupcakes. I made a face on my cupcake with the eye sprinkles and a chocolate chip and mini marshmallows. My cupcake look so good plus my cupcake came second place I was very happy that it came second because I got to eat my cupcake in front of my little sisters. I really like the cupcakes that used for pet day they taste really good we also made recycled animals. I made fish it came second place too I love pet day It is one of my favourite days.

In Room 5 we played traditional Maori games. I had so much fun playing with Matua Wiremu, Whaea Ange, and Whaea Amy. I really liked playing with Matua Wiremu, Whaea Ange and Whaea Amy. They made the games more fun. I hope we play more fun games with them again.
